I was hoping to get some insight into the dilemma/first world problem I am facing.
I need to get to Perth from Melbourne for a training course. After this, I need to be in Sydney and this flight has already been booked.
For background, I am Qantas and Virgin Platinum.......and a vegan.
Option 1) fly QF9. Experience the first class lounge for probably the second last time (unlikely to retain platinum). Will be in economy, but will get a VGML meal.
Option 2) fly virgin, on a A332 (few options on the day I am looking). Book a freedom fare and use the platinum upgrade to experience 'the business'.
What would others do? Is the business much better than the first class lounge? Never done a transcontinental VA flight before, will there be a VGML option?
Cheers
