Hello everyone,

My wife and I are heading to Melbourne this weekend with 2 friends.

I'm a Bronze Club member so can get myself and my wife into the One lounge on the way down.

On our return 2 friends will be joining us.

I'd like to get them into the Club Lounge with us but realise it's unlikely unless I perhaps use points (35,000) to upgrade my wife and I to Business class.

Do you think it's worth it to get our 2 friends into the lounge with us or is there another way?

Thanks

Wayne Johnston

No I don't think that's worthwhile at all.
Much better uses for your points.
Post your flight details in the lounge meets thread here on AFF and see if anyone is around who can guest your friends in.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements

Despite the crack-down there are still lots of QP passes for sale on a certain auction website, if you want to go that route.

And maybe the AFF Moderators could move this post to the Qantas section, which might generate additional replies.

samh004, I did not know until you or another mdoerator kindly taught me that there was a tiny triangle with an included exclamation mark at the bottom of each most recent thread post through which to 'report' posts via a desktop computer, so I am simply repeating your or others' kind previous advice on how to do this.

Dear Mods, thanks for the advice. I thought the "report" tab was for posts that breach the AFF rules, and not for posts that could be relocated to a more appropriate place on the AFF form.

It can be for both so long as you're not too over-zealous with the system... for example, reporting every double post as a failed multi-quote. In such a scenario, we're only looking for blatant post-padding.

Reporting posts help us to not have to be everywhere. You are our eyes and ears sometimes.

You'd want to be there all day to even try and find the value of 35000 points amongst the food and beverages on offer and they'd probably have to cut you off before you'd drunk your body weight in booze...

Probably better off going over the road to the Parkroyal and spending a few $$ at their fancy bar.
