A few days ago Melbourne Airport transitioned to a new website, but this lasted only a day or two.
It is now back to the previous one, with the added bonus that the flight arrivals and departures information does not work properly.
This is small beer compared to the airport's lack of a heavy rail link and a lacklustre Premier in Victoria who has not funded it, but says construction should begin within a decade.
Sadly, getting to and from the airport by road can be a nightmare. The travel times are highly variable and often much slower than one expects. SkyBus usually takes far longer than its advertised 20 minutes between the airport and Southern Cross railway station.
To cap it all off, roadworks speed limits are imposed even when the workers have a rostered day off every month, or at other times when no work is going on. These draconian speed limits could be partly or in some cases wholly lifted during periods of inactivity.
