Hey all,

i am doing a day trip to Auckland on the 2nd of feb ex Mel on the EK a380 turnaround.

Has anyone done this before, and if so, any advice/tips?

Thanks,
Will

Have done it - not in F, but in J, on EK435 last year.

Sitting in the F lounge now. Quite pleased as this trip was only in whY, i was first in line in the First queue at check in, and staff had been delayed (like the aircraft) due to a new system. I proceeded to enquire about my chances of an upgrade. One quick call later and i have gone from 52A (bulkhead) to 7A - what a dream for my first ever EK metal flight. Will keep reports coming through the day.

Enjoy 7A, the flight goes quicker upstairs.

Does EK do that very often? Did you just ask for an upgrade just like that?

Anecdotally (sample size of 2) I have heard that EK treat QF status pax very well (much better than QF do, at least).
