SQ and CX flights to Japan have Japanese meals as alternatives to the International selections like the Kyo Kaseki (SQ/CX F) or the Hanagoyomi (SQ J).

I was wondering if QF J features any Japanese meals on the regular menus of flights to NRT? Or would these meals have to be requested for as special meals?

An exhaustive search of both AFF and FT has failed to yield any QF NRT menus.

Yours in gratitude,
Keith

'Fraid my info is a little old (2004), but my recollection is that flying J SYD-NRT-SYD there was at least Japanese breakfast available somewhere along the way. I remember because I noticed that 2 middle-aged Japanese guys across the aisle went for the western breakfast (I was, for some reason which is probably not logical, expecting them to have the Japanese breakfast). I'm sure someone can post more recent info

Japanese breakfast, the dinner meal is usually has a more asian choice, i am not sure i would call it really Japanese though.
The JAL flights do though :) and the J meals i have had on some JAL flights that is the only chioce, nothing even remotly western (Not that i would expect there was given i was flying JAL)

Cheers...:)
Ah well, I suppose the regular Neil Perry menu isn't so bad.
Japanese cuisine is one of my faves, as well as plane food - put them together = heaven...:D

Has anyone flown SYD to NRT recently?

I am doing the day flight depart 10:00 arrive at 18:55 in Business with QF

Does this mean we get 2 meals? Lunch and Dinner??
