Does anyone know what the 'meal times' are for Virgin Australia flights?

Of course, this really only applies to Business Class.

I know that the Coast-to-Coast operations are quite set (and times given), but what about shorter sectors? I'm more interested in learning about flights in the golden triangle.

I know the ones for Qantas are based on departure time and are pre-0830 for breakfast, 1200-1330 for lunch and 1800-2000 for dinner, with the rest of the times being refreshments. Is this the same schedule for Virgin Australia?

The Virgin Australia booking website (or at least the award engine which I'm using) doesn't tell you this information. I also can't find any meal timing details in the service on board sections.

im awaiting clarification in writing from virgin at the moment. but the above would seem fairly accurate.

I am assuming the folowing flights will recive 3 course meals on 3hrs or over.

BNE-PER
PER-SYD
DRW-SYD
DRW-MEL
BNE-DRW
MEL-PER
DRW-PER (Not Sure?)
CNS-MEL (Not Sure?)
AYQ-SYD (Not Sure?)
ADL-PER (Not Sure?)
CMS-SYD (Not Sure?)

There was certainly no dinner service on the 6pm SYD-MEL on Friday. It was a cheese plate and piece of cake - mind you it was very nice and I was going out for dinner on arrival, so it suited me perfectly. However, had I not been going out for dinner I would have been quite disappointed.

Personally I think on any flight after 5:30 then dinner should be available - sure, have a cheese plate as an option, but also have at least one proper meal option as well.

Just did SYD-MEL at 3:30pm and MEL-OOL at 6:45pm both in J.

Afternoon flight was some fresh Vietnamese spring rolls, cheese and crackers and carrot cake (all of them, not a choice of those) and night flight was a choice between vegetarian pasta and Moroccan lamb with cous cous, both served with bread, salad, chocolates and wine/drinks.

Very impressed :)

If I was I was head of catering these would be my times:

2000-2259 Evening Snack

Over 3hrs

I've been wondering the same thing myself, but can't find any information from Virgin.
