Hi AFF experts , We have upcoming reservation at Residence Inn by Marriott at London Bridge and also have the booking at Crowne Plaza London. In terms of status recognition , which property will be a better choice as I am Gold with Marriott and Platinum Elite with IHG. Appreciate any suggestions or pointers as the price is almost same albeit 30-40 pounds variance overall. ta

I am life time platinum with Marriott and for the last 3 years plat with IHG via purchase of Ambassador membership. I have definitely had more recognition at most IHG properties.
During my LTP staus at Marriott I have stayed at a couple of Residence Inn properties in the US and no upgrade. Crowne Plaza on the other hand have usually seen at least a minor uograde ( higher floor ). At the CP Narita have twice had suite upgrades.

However I suspect that as my Marriott stays are not as frequent as before the LTP status may very well drop to the bottom of plat stayers so less likely to get an upgrade.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

RI properties only pay 50% of the points, provide a breakfast, where you can usually find something reasonably healthy to eat, and the rooms have a kitchenette. I do RI in NYC, and as a plat I ask for and get the best corner rooms with three windows on the 22nd + floors.
I have no experience of CP.
