As I have mentioned previously* I was doomed to sink to Silver before re-attaining Gold in a few months. Worst case I lost 100 SC, such is life. I was a little concerned the 2 flights in the week after my requal date would get lost in the "assessing your account" void though - But I was also secretly hoping the 2 flights would count towards my gold requal during the "assessing" which would land me exactly on 400SC.

So imagine my surprise when I logged in on the day of my first flight to find my requal date was now set to 2014, and my YTD balance reset to 0, and my account still the more precious of the 2 metallic colours! Maybe Velocity/VA saw my upcoming flights booked and nudged me over the edge - I was 30SC shy for what its worth. I've seen people (Including myself in the past) get nudged over on 5/10/15 deficit maybe, but was truly not expecting to get the treatment at 30. So now I get those 30SC to count to the following year rather than losing 100SC, score!

So yeah, long story short: Thanks very much Velocity/VA, much appreciated! :D

Indeed so. Got quite a bit of travel already booked (and some international legs in the pipeline) so shouldn't be in this situation again, fingers crossed anyway!
