Hi All due to a change in schedule by QF they no longer fly out on a Tuesday to Manilla so we have been re routed VIA Hong Kong then onto Manilla, we are travelling with Hand Luggage Only.

We arrive in at T1 at 22.10 and have a flight on Philiipine Airlines to Kalibo from T2 at 23.30. Is this enough time or are we in trouble especially as the nflight to kalibo is on a seperate PNR?

We previously had 5 hours transit time which we were comfortable with.

Thank you

I dont like it. Is the forward sector a flexible ticket? you need to pass immigration, get your bags, find a cab.

talk to PR about it and make sure they know you are arriving on CX???

You won't make it.. As per your current schedule.
That is a very late flight MNL/KLO.

Thanks for your replies I have now managed to get an earlier flight into Manilla which gives me 5 hours transit time so I hope that is enough :D lol

way too close unfortunately - arriving at that time into MNL you will likely get a 30 min wait for immigration as a number of flights arrive togther

hope you can work out a good rebook to accomodate - have a great time in boracay :)

Well done.
Are you going to Boracay?

Hi Jetlagger

Yes off to Boracay its a lads week away so should be good. I have never been whereas some of the other lads have and looks like we have a busy schedule ahead of us lots sun sand and drinks lol.

Have to say though that the tickets to Manilla were booked via .br and that has proven to be a nightmare trying to get hold of them Fortunatley for me managed to find a Lady by the name of Andrea on thye Plat desk who has been exceptional with her assistance.

This is the one down side of booking cheap fares through.br no or little support the phone number doesnt work and no email address to send to either.

I hope you enjoy Boracay, Ansett. Would be interesting to get your opinion on this island.

You will enjoy it.. I visit at least once a year..

horseman, it is spelt 'Manila' not with two 'l's.

If on such a late flight from MNL to KLO, you may need to stay at a guesthouse in KLO before getting a bus or van next morning to Caticlan (an hour and a half) before the 10 minute sea transfer to Boracay.

When you arrive at MNL T1, l would get a taxi around to Resorts World Manila opposite T3 to while away a couple of hours: it has quite a few restaurants or take away places, a smallish casino, a few upmarket shops and a couple of hairdressers (haircut maybe P100 - P150 plus tip, so less than A$6 in total).

Then get a taxi back to T2 - I suggest departing Resorts World an hour and a half prior to your flight. Checkin closes 45 minutes prior for PR domestic flights. Make sure in both cases that the taxi driver puts the meter on: many do (a few still try not to).

Hi and thanks for the tip we are flying into KLO and have organised a special picup and night sea transfer wasnt that expensive. On the way back we go Via Catlican so less of an issue we arrive with 2 hours to transfer and check in for the flight home. So all should be good. We are all looking forward to it

Will try and do a trip report if sober long enough LOL :D
