I am flying into Manila airport on Thai and have been given instructions to meet my driver under the W

Quote Upon clearing immigrations, please proceed to the area under letter ' W '

The driver will be waiting for you. Unquote

Could anybody shed a little light on this for me please.

The pick up area outside arrivals at terminal 1 is divided into letters A-Z and marked accordingly. Its supposed to make it easier to be picked since whoever is picking you up will know exactly where you are waiting.
