Just about to undertake my first family trip since the new online lounge invite management has come into play.
Wish they had stuck with the old system - far easier just rocking up and presenting the invite card.

I've registered for points upgrades and have concern about wasting the lounge invites if I link them and then subsequently get upgraded.

From what I can tell I am able to link the invites to the flight any time up until check-in closes or boarding, but it may take 30 minutes to get the verification email. So essentially I can wait to link the invites until perhaps a couple of hours before the flight, just in case the upgrades come through?? (which admittedly is fairly unlikely with more than 2 people).

I was in a similar situation recently. I left it until I arrived at the lounge in SYD. When my upgrade failed to materialise I requested a lounge pass while I was standing at the front desk and it came through instantly.

Hi,

Slightly different question but:

I am transferring a couple of complimentary lounge invitations to my brother for use at brisbane international airport .

He is travelling economy on an Emirates aircraft with a QF flight number dep BNE at 0235 ( to SIN)

The QF international lounge closes at midnight.

This is a bit early for a 0230hrs departure on EK.

Is there some possibility to use the QF complimentary lounge invite to get into the Emirates Lounge?

No - the T&C's are fairly clear that the pass is for the QP domestically or the J Lounge internationally.
