Hi folks, I'm a Qantas FF with gold / sapphire status. I'm a bit confused though. I'm tavel
ing on Malaysian airlines next week and although their website states one world sapphire members are allowed an extra 15kgs, the Malaysian airlines phone centre says they do not allow this.

Has as anyone any experience with this? I'm relocating from the uk to Australia so an extra 15kgs would be a big difference.

Thanks

Thanks Tom. Glad I'm not crazy :) The thing is though, I really don't want to have this be an issue at check in Is there a way to confirm this with one world or.... I dunno... Get Malaysian airlines to document it?

Ask them to confirm via the online chat feature on their website (assuming they have one) or FB page etc, then take a printout of their response with the printout of the Oneworld rules just in case.

I don't think you will have an issue or need the printouts

I've never had an issue with extra luggage with MH as sapphire. I've taken a lot more than 15kg too

Hi all, I rang for the third time and found someone who agreed that I can take the extra 15kgs. Phew! I'm also going to bring a photo of their own webpage - just in case.

Thanks all - you've saved my stress levels:)
