Got an email from Malaysia Airlines today detailing a refresh of the Enrich programme effective from 1 January 2026.

1. Enrich Points Earning (for Redemptions):
Earning rates for Enrich Points (based on per RM1 spent on Malaysia Airlines and Firefly) are increasing for elite members.
Silver: 1.6 -> 1.8
Gold: 2.0 -> 2.2
Platinum: 2.2 -> 2.5

2. Increased Elite Points Earning (for Status):
Increases in status points mostly for Business Class and Business Suite flyers (previous status earn rate was pretty rubbish), as well as economy trips > 1201 miles.

3. Increased Elite Status Requirements:
The number of Elite Points required to qualify is increasing for the 2027 qualification year.
Silver: 30 -> 35
Gold: 60 -> 70
Platinum: 100 -> 140

4. Silver members will receive new perks:
10kg extra baggage allowance
Priority baggage handling
