Major events listing

Hi All,

Some time ago I came across a link (think it was from one of the corporate travel agencies) that gave details of planned major events around Australia so that you could avoid (or plan a jolly) if necessary.

Does anybody know if the page (or something similar) still exists? I'm asking as my excellent planning has me in Brisbane this week and $700 has just been paid for 2 nights of pretty average hotel accommodation thanks to state of origin and I'd like to avoid repeating the same mistake in the future!

I think someone has the Clipsal 500 and NYE mixed up, the Clipsal being a March event.

Thanks for that Simon. Is the source listing available publicly anywhere or does some poor soul have to trawl through and create the list manually?

It came from our procurement guys attached to the list of preferred (by them not us) hotels. No idea how/where sourced.
