Question for the experts.... We go the 50 point per Macro product offer twice this week for both Mr & Mrs S.

What is the cheapest product available ???

What is shelf /fridge life ???

Has anyone else got this offer before and got the Bonus points. It says 50 points for transaction. If we buy 10 items and put them all through at the same time do we get 500 points or 50 points.

What are the voices of experience seeing on their statements ??
Thanks:D:D:D:D:D:?::?::?:

If you post the exact T&C from the bottom of your email here we may stand a better chance at working out what conditions apply. As there have been several varieties of offers that credit differently.

In terms of what’s the cheapest, do you just mean to buy and throw away, or would you consider upgrading to a MACRO product on something you already buy, thus taking the small difference in price to be the cost?

I’ve found cans of diced and crushed tomatoes very good value, and only 20¢ or so above the Select variety. I’ve noticed organic pumpkin, if you’re into making soups, for what I’d consider to be a low price, around the $1 mark. They also do quite a few gluten free products under the MACRO brand, and if you’re a bad cook like me, you’ll love the banana bread; tastes great, and so easy to make out of the box it comes in.

And almost forgot, the MACRO milk is really good, found with all the other cold milk, yet lasts for over a month (before it’s opened)… now have a carton of that in the fridge as an emergency as it’s not going to go off before I get to it.

There’s a kids yoghurt that’s quite tasty and isn’t too expensive. I think chocolate bars somewhere, they seemed to be all the rage for the power shoppers.

Markis10 jnr is an expert on the shelf life of Macro products, particularly the choc bars.:) The road tests were very positive

LOL, he is also well acquainted with the yogurt which is a tad less messy when it comes to crumbs.

Sam, l'd like to add that the Macro Soy Milk products are cough (IMO).
Canned tomatoes, l just grab the cheapest, and always whole tomatoes (blend if necessary).
Macro mixed nuts are good.
Has anyone tried their EVO, it was on a few shelves this week, just looked weird as it was packaged in a tetra-pack type packaging, not a glass bottle.

OT, the WOW Select Tomato Ketchup is pretty good and if it' on special, l'll grab it from now on.

Yes but the jury is still out on whether is per product on the one receipt or per receipt non sequential!

This is when self service check outs come into their own coupled with no signature Amex under $35...

No they dont, as they generate sequential receipts which are apparently not allowed! I almost missed out on promo points because of this, and cash is quicker!

Just cycle through a few times :) Also cash misses out on 1.5 points/$

Interesting, so you need to make a MACRO purchase and a regular purchase, and repeat?

It’s do-able in the future but making us work to get our points is only going to make us rip the program for more. Pretty sad times.

Ah, but what if have two or more cards, and you alternate the use at the one self serve checkout?

That, or have the wife/significant other sitting outside drinking coffee while you go in, checkout, rinse, repeat.

Using a card slows things, using the same checkout causes issues.

Just home from shopping and went through checkout 3 times and husband twice so hopefully 500 points. Managed to get most things at a reduced rate including frozen peas, cabbage, pasta, choc bars. Bought a couple of each as was a bit embarrassed just getting one item and paying for it
