I submitted a credit card chargeback for my cancelled Austrian Airlines flights from March, which seems to have worked.

FWIW, Austrian Airlines restarted flights on Monday after being grounded for 3 months and after getting extra funding from the Austrian government. Most refunds for Lufthansa Group airlines have still not yet been processed, however, which is in clear contravention of the E.U. rules which require these to be processed within 7 days.

I think you will find the timer usually starts from the date the service was due to be supplied not when purchased.
