Lufthansa early bird sale to Europe for 2023 travel

First Singapore Airlines, now Lufthansa Group (Lufthansa/Swiss/Austrian) is running an early-bird sale on Y/PE/J fares from Australia to Europe for travel between 22 January and 5 September 2023. Book by 30 September 2022.

Some examples currently advertised on the LH website include:

• ADL-BER from $1,100 return
• SYD-BRU from $1,130 return
• SYD-LNZ from $1,190 return
• SYD-ZRH from $2,690 return in Premium Economy
• MEL-GVA from $2,710 return in Premium Economy
• MEL-ZRH from $5,410 return in Business
• BNE-BER from $5,530 return in Business

These fares generally use SQ/TG/etc. to somewhere in Asia, then LH, LX or OS the rest of the way.

I stumbled on one of these earlier in the week using ITA Matrix. Example was an open jaw J fare SYD-FRA/MUC-SYD LH codeshare all on SQ for mid/high $5k.

What was interesting is it was slightly cheaper than SQ pricing!

Obviously, a VFF or KF would take the SQ option. But for other *A member FF is probably much the same?
