Lounge to myself

Had the NZ Koru lounge in MEL to myself while I was waiting one afternoon to go on SQ228. Strange thing was that despite the SQ lounge being closed for renovations, the NZ lounge seemed to be closed in the afternoon for cleaning the first time I went to it (I assume there weren't many NZ flights at that time) and I wandered back to it after a while in the UA lounge. Felt a bit strange, actually. I don't like to be the centre of attention and whilst the staff left me alone, I still did feel a bit odd. Someone else wandered in after about 20-30 minutes. I did get to have a seat right in front of the plane I would be taking off in though, which was nice.

Often had the Luoyang (LYA) to myself. The centre piece there is a photo portrait of the previous leader of China sitting in a large chair at one end of the room. Each time I go there the room attendants offer to take a photo with my camera of me sitting in the same chair.... They would always seem disappointed when I declined the offer.

Its not the worst airline lounge in the world..... but its vying for the title.

LAX AA Flagship lounge right now! (other than my family)

Have photos but you'll have to wait for the TR:cool:

Twice we have had the Admirals Club at EZE to ourselves, in 2005 and 2010. What made 2010 even more of a deja vu experience was that the lounge appeared not to have changed an iota, right down to the same fluoro orange cone-shaped potato or corn chips that we ate the time before.

More recently, during a time when we had a large number of flights in a short period, we got our timings wrong and turned up to the CBR J lounge well in advance of when we would normally and had more than two additional early morning hours there. It was a super quiet morning for flights and pax, with a couple of cancellations, so at various points we had it to ourselves. While we would have liked the extra couple of hours of sleep, there certainly were worse places to spend the time.
