Can you please comment on my interpretation of QF/OW Lounge Access rules?
I am QFF Silver and QC member.
I have bought a lowest price (26,000 mi) economy GLOB fare from Qantas with itinerary thus:
CNS-BNE-SIN-BAH-ATH-MAD-ORD-SLC-LAX-BNE-CNS
Metal is QF, Gulf Air (SIN-ATH), IB (ATH-ORD), AA, QF
Official stopovers are BNE, ATH, SLC (conference in the Grand Tetons NP), BNE
It appears I will be able to access QF or AA lounges at most ports, but cannot use lounges at Bahrain (doesn't matter - very quick connection), Athens or Madrid. With the timings in the latter ports, I will really miss having lounge access.
It would be really nice to hear that my understanding is mis-

Tks,

Your understanding is correct that you will not have lounge access at those locations

Thanks Dave, sad to be right again!
Anyone know whether I can pay for lounge access (any decent lounge) in ATH? My flight leaves at 5PM after i will have spent a long day sightseeing around Athens, - I will need a shower!

You can try Lounge Pass with 3 lounges available at ATH airport and booked in advance at GBP20 for a maximum 3 hour stay.

Thanks JohnK, didn't know about this website
Dilemma now is to predict whether I will be sweatty enuff to enjoy a 20 quid shower:(

For me A$50 for 3 hours lounge access is too much money....

If you have a Diners Club card you can access their lounges at MAD and BAH.
