Lounge access Abu Dahbi

Interesting for some reason I thought it was more like temp lounge.

From my understanding once the F lounge is done the current Premium lounge will become purely a J lounge.

Just like how in DOH the Al-mourjan lounge is a J lounge but currently takes J and F pax as the Al-safwa F lounge is not yet open.

I read somewhere that they have a roped off area for F pax any idea if they give access to VA Plat as we normally have access to the F lounge?

Roped off area yes I've heard that too. Not sure if VA plat get access to that area or just F pax. Perhaps someone else on here will know

Anyone have any feedback on the Etihad Premium Lounge ??

I used that lounge in December, very impressive. Quite big and the food selection was fantastic. Plenty of places to relax. The only downside was the shower, no hot water and water leaked under the shower screen door and the floor got wet.

If you can even get in the shower.

I've been in the Premium lounge 4 times this year so far and while the lounge is certainly more plush and spacious, the shower facilities and staffing seem to be greatly reduced, or at least, the queues have gotten longer for some reason.

Three of the times I've come in, I've had to wait quite a while as a crowd gather behind me, because the front desk staff were either away attending to people or at the desk working through bookings. Twice I've had to remind them that I should be in F lounge and once they seemed more pre-occupied with getting me to switch to Etihad Guest than anything else (it was by 8th consecutive J flight through there in 4 months... I asked for a status match but she seemed to think I could earn credits on both programs simultaneously... if only).

The same period last year I managed to get straight into showers three out of four times.. the fourth time I was on a tight connection so didn't even try. Each time I was escorted into the F lounge and offered an appointment for spa/massage/shower, a drink while waiting and a pre-ordered meal for when I come out.

I guess at the time I did think this was almost excessively good service but I think it's almost gone the other way now. :/

It pales in comparison to the EK DXB lounges (A gates especially), although I have only used the F lounge at DXB but assume the J lounge is similar (and directly above). The EY AUH lounge would struggle to rank in my top 10. Will give it another go in about two weeks (maybe they have had a few bad days).

The EY lounge at DUB is actually better with respect to food and overall service (quite small though).

I'm hoping to enjoy the first apartment in october. to AUH

The flight gets in around 5.30am

Would I be able to go to the F lounge and shower, grab something to eat, before heading to the hotel. I don't really feel like paying for an extra night if I can avoid it, so prefer to get to the hotel around 9 and hope they let me check in.

You will be able to enter the arrivals lounge after immigration.
There's about 10 showers, a shaving service, assortment of snack size foods. -sandwich, fruit, desserts, tea, coffee, juices.
