Lost seat allocation T-30

Double checking dep times tomorrow, (QF73) strangely my seat allocation in PE has been lost and the only remaining seat for selection is a middle seat!

I did put in an upgrade request which has not been cleared.

Should I presume QF will grant me an upgrade or should I get on the phone now to request a better PE seat?

On my very last QF of a few years back, burning all my remaining points on 2 J tickets, our seat allocation dropped off 5 times over 10 months, including at circa T-12. Eventually we were accommodated in good seats, but no one could explain why. I was SG at the time so I guess must have been some insistent higher-status pax kicking us around the plane into random (and separated seats). Was always going to be my last QF and I've never gone back, but one should never say never of course.

Wouldn't the call centre state seating selection is under airport control, so they may not be able to change anything?

One wonders if an aircraft sub has caused a reshuffle? though I am not aware if PE seats change at all through the various configs of the 744?

Checked again and my original seat allocation has returned!

From what I can see the seat map appears unchanged from visiting the site a few days back...

There is no sign of a successful upgrade yet!
