Hi All,

I have a booking syd to hnd return next month for me and my partner. Prem econ booking with upgrade request one. im WP , partner no status. My partner has had to fly to usa for work, so will now fly from USA to tokyo to meet me. So first of all i be splitting the PNR to refund her fare, and then re book a one way prem econ HND to syd.

Is there a way i can link those so that we only get upgraded if we both do like being on a joined PNR ? Or do i have to suck it up and just cancel my return upgrade request to sit with her in premium vs hoping for J due to it being a different booking?

in that brownie point scenario - how does that work? Just ask at the counter if they can switch names on boarding passes, or just board and then switch seats? I'm in a potential similar scenario with SWMBO :)

Board and ask the CSM politely if this would be possible. I'd imagine in most cases they wouldn't have a problem with doing so.
