Hi everyone,
In the very unfortunate position of being unable to link my BA and Qatar account as I have reached the maximum number of times (twice) and trying to figure a solution as I have my points split across BA and Qatar needed for a flight booking. Essentially had to unlink and link earlier this year due to a middle name mismatch (BA had it Qatar didn’t). Fixed that and the account was working fine, but yesterday I tried to move points between accounts. Going from Qatar to BA was fine, but it wouldn’t let me transfer from Qatar to BA. I thought again it was something to do with my profile so I unlinked it to try to re-link but that is when I got blocked out. Did anyone have this fixed? I need the accounts linked or at least a manual push of my British Avios to Qatar for a booking!
Thank you!

If you're having trouble transferring from BA to Qatar, this is a known (and long-running) issue unfortunately, although recent anecdotal evidence on other forums suggests it should now have been fixed.

My understanding is that the BA systems block transfers to QR as an anti-fraud measure. I think you'll need to call BA to advise them of the issue and provide details of the accounts you are trying to link; their fraud team will investigate and release it in 10 business days (this is a fixed timeframe which can't be fast-tracked).

I had a similar issue last year when trying to transfer BA to QR for an award booking. Because of the 10 day delay we ended up missing out on the award seats we wanted (but fortunately found an acceptable alternative in the end).

Hm, I tried manually pushing it but they said the accounts aren't linked (and I have reached the cap) so not sure what I can do.

RE Finnair - Need to ensure you're consistent with middle names on the account i.e. they all show the same
