If you have enough points accrued, and there are enough seats available in a particular class, are there restrictions on how many reward seats you can purchase on a flight?

I have just noticed that on a day that has just opened up 330 days from now, that in the business class reward seat SYD - LAX is showing as " only 3 seats left" whereas previously I had only seen this message applied when there was 1 seat left. If the reward seats are showing but with none of these messages underneath , what does that mean the availability is for EACH class on your typical SYD-LAX ?

" only 3 seats left" basically means the fare bucket from which the seat & price you are looking at (e.g. Z for business class reward seat) is down to 3.

In such a case A GDS query would return ... Z3 ... if VA do not published the reward fare buckets (wich the don't).

It has nothing to do with actually how many seats there may be left to sell.
