Lifetime gold vs gold

Hello QFF friends,

I'm fast approaching the highly-coveted goal of lifetime gold after 15 years of business travel! I'm curious to know whether there's any different treatment of a lifetime gold traveller vs just a "normal" gold or are we all lumped into the same category and therefore have the same privileges etc.

p.s. not having a dig at my fellow goldies

I am LTS but it’s my understanding that LTG and SG are treated pretty much the same. Whether or not it makes a marginal difference to things like upgrades I don’t know.

As @mviy said, I don't think that Qantas makes any differentiation between LTG and SG.

With LTG you don't need to fly QF and you will still keep the LTG.
