Ok - I now have 224K in the LM bank after the transfer bonus and want to go somewhere (x 2 pax) by using redemption or redemption + copay. Can be one-way or return...

Any suggestions please?

I'll volunteer a TR for any suggestion(s) taken up. ;)

Cheers,
Sigh

Why not maximise value by using some of the trick routes? hidden city ticketing etc..

Hi Zainman, I am still relatively new to this so using hidden city ticketing is something I am still coming to grips with. Any tips gratefully received...:)

FWIW, I have been looking closely at HKG-BKK-SYD route on Thai in F. For 67.5K per person or redemption + copay, this seems like pretty good value.

I'm keen to see what others who have done this route before think. I believe the HKG-BKK sector is on their A380 so at least I get a taste of the new 1st on Thai as well as the 747-NG.

I'm also looking to tag on a 3rd pax now. How would you rate my chances of 3 x TG F for HKG-BKK-SYD?

cheers, Sigh.

Is someone able to PM me some information re: trick routes / hidden cities or point me in the right direction.

Cheers

Quick update...I found initially found no seats available on the Jan long weekend and then to my surprise, they suddenly appeared last Thursday! So I pulled the trigger on 3 x TG First from HKG to SYD. Very excited as it will be first time for my son who is nearly 12 and to see his expression when he finds out will be a fantastic experience.

Any tips on both sectors ie; HKG-BKK-SYD (although I'm aware that there are many on this forum) are gratefully appreciated.

I also want to select seats but cannot see any way of doing this other than calling Thai during office hours. Is this right?

You need to wait until its ticketed before seat selection becomes available.

Hi markis10

According to the Thai website the document numbers are showing as issued and I have received the e-ticket from Avianca. FWIW, I've already selected the pre-order meal for one of the sectors but I cannot find how to select seat asignment. Am I missing something?

As far as I know on TG seat selection can only be done over the phone.

I found an email was very easy. I checked seat availability on expertflyer.com then emailed [email protected] with my request (I wanted 1K on both legs CDG-BKK-SYD). Seats were confirmed within one hour.
