Note that in the purchase of miles I attempted, it worked out cheaper to use points+pay to get miles at 1.5c each. Buying miles outright was giving a price in the region of 1.65c - so a fair bit of a difference.

Worth doing the calculation before you buy.

I'm agonising over this offer as well. Both my and Mr LL's accounts are down to rock bottom. My major concerns are:-

- LM ongoing web site issues requiring screen shots which are at best problematic
- LM (may be a *A issue) only seem to release 1 award seat on routes to/from OZ - e.g. NH, AC, OZ, even TG / most holiday travellers are looking for 2+ seats
- Low AUD means paid J tickets are not that bad value if you can snag a special / seat sale
- general lack of availability on *A airlines on most routes in J

I'll probably cave in - just in case.
