Hello all!

I am going to fly LHR to SIN and the two reward redemption options at present are CX via Hong Kong (777-3 and A350) or AY via Helsinki (A321 and A350).

CX has a longer trip time by a few hours, however AY does have the three hour A321 leg.

Both options are in Business all the way.

Which is best? A350 overnight on AY or the 777/350 combo on CX.

That is such a tough call.

I like HKG and love the CX Flounges, but you'd want enough time to utilise them and be WP to access. Plus in general I like CX.

HEL options aren't that shabby either and I love the A350 and AY intercontinental service, but don't especially love the 321 experience (not that it's 'bad' but it is Euro J so Y+ at best).

If I had no WP, I'd go AY but I do like CX and as a WP I'd go via HKG and make sure I had Flounge time plus I'd like to try the CX LHR lounge although I think they leave from the same terminal so if open, you'll get access anyway.

Good luck. Please share your decision.

If it makes any difference, I believe that CX option via HKG would cost you an extra 12,000 points.
