its a very short walk. what are your connection times?

I believe the qantas bus is for qantas only.

FWIW, until TBIT West opens with it's planned Airside connector walkway, I will always walk from T4 over taking the QF bus - it's far more efficient!

Three hours connection, so plenty of time. Three kids though so I wad hoping to avoid another security line.

Took the QF shuttle this month when connecting AA to QF.... Figured it was faster and less of a pain the the a*se than going through another TSA checkpoint!

The trouble is during the redevelopment the Bus now drops you off at the far North West coner of the old TBIT - it takes 10-20 minutes (often longer due to aircraft right of way) and then it's a 10 minute walk back to the lounges.

My experiences with TBIT security at that time of the evening are around 15 minutes for walks from T4 ro TBIT (make sure you exit T4 at the Upper/Departures level), through TBIT security and to the lounge is about 15-20 minutes.

Tough gig, if you don't have lounge access then the Bus may indeed be the way to go.

QC member so unfortunately no access before the Nadi flight as on the FJ flight number.

I really think that Qantas could do much better with the T4-TBIT shuttle, based on my experience on Sat night. I dont think its a good way to look after their (premium) passengers. Suggestions:

1. In the T4 bus waiting area, have a clear sign and tape barriers indicating that Qantas passengers should line up at desk on left and have boarding passes checked before lining up for the bus (while American eagle on the right)

2. Have sufficient seats for passengers (down to about 10)

3. Increase frequency of shuttle to every 10 mins from (say) 7pm (similar to American eagle service)

4. Improve standard of bus given 15 min ride- fix broken seats, increase number of seats

Can't believe they provide this poor service night after night. These simple fixes would cover until opening of T4-TBIT connector (hopefully) later this year.

I wanted to confirm that your can't use the Qantas shuttle if on a FJ flight regardless if you are on a QF or FJ flight number. You need to go over to FJ check in at TBIT to get your boarding passes. AA had issued me boarding passed for this flight but they are no good, you have to have the FJ issued ones.

Used it twice and never again- such a chaos, totally inappropriate. Now always either leave the security area, make it by foot and then go through security again which tends to be muuuch faster and less stressful OR, better even, stop over for a night or two in fabulous Hollywood :p

I gather the T4-TBIT connector is far from finished. Can someone please remind me where do I catch the bus at T4, and is there a timetable for the bus? Also, for anyone who has done it recently, how long did it take in the evening for the bus transfer? (I want to stay at the AA Flagship lounge at T4 for as long as possible - departing TBIT on QF12 at 2210)
(PS: I know I can walk but i like to avoid going through the TSA screening again if possible)

Turn RIGHT on exiting the Flagship Lounge, walk for about 50-70m to just past gate 40 and you should see a sign on your LEFT to walk down some stairs.

It shares the same doors with American Eagle bus transfers.

Leaves on the hour and every 1/2 hour from 4pm ... There can be a queue, so i leave the flagship lounge about 8 minutes before the next bus.

It really is quicker to walk Landside.
