LAX airport hotel day use [Afternoon/early Evening]

Just wondering any recommendations for hotel at LAX for day use QF94 departure for my daughter and her friends, they arrive in LAX at 3pm and really just want to relax until they need to board QF94 home. Any suggestions? Thanks V

I have two responses

1) We used the Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles last December after driving in from San Diego with a couple of young children in the early afternoon for the midnight Brisbane equivalent (QF16). It's pretty close (from memory only the Marrriott is closer) and a shuttle goes through pretty much every few minutes for the 3mins to the terminal.

We paid around 115 bucks including tax via priceline and were quite happy.

Kids spent the afternoon/evening relaxing in the pool (to the surprise of the other patrons - but it was quite warm) after a snack in the lobby and then enjoyed room service in front of the tube before we cleared security at around 9pm.

2) Consider ensuring she can get herself/friends into a lounge as well, or instead.

Unfortunately Qantas had held up the departure time for a host of late arrivals from the east coast and so we spent the next 6 hours in the AA Admirals Club till we departed after 3am.

Might be worth getting a 30day membership of the above if she can't otherwise get lounge entry with her friends, or as an alternate to the hotel plan.

I'm another Sheraton Gateway user - I believe it IS the closest to the airport. But never used it for day use. Its not bad to walk around during the day.

Maybe have a trawl around Trip Advisor searching on LAX day use.

Booked a room at Hilton lax last year on <http://www.between9and5.com/en/h1982/day_rooms_Hilton_Los_Angeles_Airport/> for us$85 which worked out well. Only hitch is room has to be between 9am and 5pm. Suggest you email hotel directly and they may give you a day rate for 3pm-8pm.

Thanks for responses ended up booking Westin LAX for them, ended up $129 for the 24 hour period was happy paying that rate.

The Radisson is walking distance, 3 minutes from the end of the terminals, although it takes 10 mins to walk from TIBT to the end of the terminals. I use this one because you can walk.
