Hi Guys

Am looking at flying to San Francisco rather than driving as the flights on V America are reasonably priced.

What i can work out is what Velocity benefits translate to on the V America site in terms of luggage.

Currently at the Gold Level for Velocity.

Cheers

Zilch, you'll need to pay $25 per bag. They should put priority tags on, but you might need to push them for it.

I would check the prices for Main Cabin Select and First on the flight you want take; the former comes with 1 x checked bag and the latter comes with 2 x checked bags. If you're going to be paying for bags anyway, you might as well look at the price difference between cabins.. :)

Example: for a SFO-SAN flight I have coming up, the difference between Main Cabin and First was $80. I think I'll have 1 bag to check in, so the price difference becomes $55 .. very easy to justify the upgrade to myself! ;)

Personally I just fly Southwest where there's no issue with a ski bag, ski boot bags, a laptop and suitcase (within weight limits). S/west's cancellation policy is amazing: I cancelled during the boarding process, - yep people were walking on the plane, Received a new ticket on the spot with $4 off too.
