Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for Langkawi for a weekend? Both attractions and accommodation? Looking at heading there this weekend with a few colleagues.

Currently tossing up between the Sheraton and Westin. Westin is only $16 more per night, but seems to be a lot further away from most attractions (and from the airport).

We'd be looking at arriving ~9:30pm on Fri night, leaving around 8pm Sunday night. Some colleagues went last year and said they did an all-day boat trip (out to an island where they went scuba diving), and a cable car. We'd probably want to do something similar, as well as a whole lot of relaxing, and maybe a round of golf.

Any suggestions for other must-do's? Looking to get a good balance of "relaxing and doing nothing", and seeing a few sights. :)

Appreciate any advice.

Cheers,
- Febs.

The Westin is much better than the Sheraton, it's walkable distance from Kuah, where you can get a good cheap feed. In terms of attractions, recommend the day trip to the coral reef, renting a car is also a good cheap option to help get around and see the sights.
