I flew BNE Santiago last Sunday and the service was quite the worst I've experienced on plane in a very long time. Surly, almost angry attendant was so unpleasant and resentful that my travelling companion said she felt 'hated' for daring to fly with them. Service was impossibly slow, wine (which was good) was grudgingly distributed and dried up after 2 pours.
I will be making an official complaint and will not fly LAN again. Quite a turn round from being a bit of a fan of their product.

While I have not flown all the way to South America, I have done the SYD-AKL vv in J numerous times and I do sympathize with your traveling companion as I've also been made to feel like the odd one out by the crew (all I could put it down to was that I was the only one in the cabin not speaking in a South American dialect to them). This has happened twice out of probably 10 or so sectors in J. The others have been an absolute pleasure with no attitude/problems at all.

Just got off QF28 SCL-SYD - absolutely nothing wrong with that flight!! Well done Qantas. Only thing better on LAN is red wine selection - but that is just a personal thing.

Agree. Only way to beat the LAN reds on QF is to fly in F
Other than that the SCL/SYD direct is very good

The mileage earn on international LAN far exceeds QF for AA members...

Perhaps only drron and I are the only ones who care...

What are they like in economy. I expect I will be using them from AKL to SCL RTW adventure in 2014.
