There is a bit of chatter around the websites about this pretty unusual visitor to Perth The consensus seems to be that it is a charter to fly the Australian Cricket Team to the UK. The interior, all J, looks pretty nice for a 'narrow body'.

Pretty sure I recall reading an article a few months ago how the days of the cricket team flying around the world in business class were probably over due to CA running low on dosh. I guess that concept didn't last long.

I imagine that charter rates are pretty reasonable these days and if you have to charter a plane why not get a nice one.

So nice they got their exemptions approved in time
I do love my cricket but this is so wrong...people being denied travel exemptions for loved ones' who are dying, funerals, weddings etc but playing cricket is a valid exemption!

Could be my now forgotten knowledge, as these days it just means nothing. But my recollection of La Compagnie was that it was a all-J service between europe and the USA. And although all-premium it was not that flash. The flash was that it was "all J" the reality was that it was below par for any good full service J product on the mainstream airlines. Glad to be corrected...

That's spot on. They had a 757 doing Luton-Newark in an all J 2+2 angle flat bed config and another 757 in the same config from one of the Paris airports to Newark.

Suspect some of the Aussie cricketers were on this return flight to Australia which arrived at ADL last night.
Fits, given the timeframes - ODI series completed in Manchester 2 days ago and plan for an Adelaide Oval bubble/hub prior to the upcoming test series against India
