I a not currently a KrisFlyer member built have a United Mileage Plus membership with about 150,000 mile. I have booked a Business Class SQ return flight syd-Zurich at end of year. I am unsure whether to sign up for A KrisFlyer or just use the United miles via Star Alliance to earn points? Any help would be greatly appreciated?
Thanks

Do you have or are you likely to get to any meaningful status with either? If not, you might be better off adding the points to your existing UA points - since they don't expire and are still generally useful there.

You'll possibly earn more redeemable SQ points but that have a hard expiry after 3 yrs (use it or lose it). Which is the main downside to SQ for the occasional points earner.

You could credit to VA or any other Star Alliance ffp. Check the earnings and expiry.
Do you use the UA ff miles?
