KA Extra-Leg Room Seats for MPC Only

Interesting twist today - I'm travelling HKG-CNX on Friday with KA, went to select exit row seats for me and the better half.

No worries for me with my MPC GO number in the booking but for my partner with QF Silver no dice

Checking in via cx.com clearly displays that OWR, OWS and OWE can have exit rows for free but after 2 calls to MPC no dice - insistent that MPC SL and above only for exit rows on KA.

Checked ka.com and it doesn't state Oneworld elites on their site but redirects me to cx.com when I go to check-in

Might be one to be aware of when booking connections on KA and hoping for an Exit Row

i have had no issues with OW elite status and KA exit selection... unless they have introduced the change very recently.

I know when i went to select the exit it came back with a 'you will be charged for this seat'... but on the next screen it just processed it FOC.

its seems to be quite new, i have done it before on KA with QF status - the OLCI does not allow the exit selection any more

indeed not so good. maybe better to stick with cx codeshare?
