:) Just had my second flights with Jetstar, both in J on 787 no real complaints, generally quite good. This time JQ23 & 24 MEL-NRT-MEL.
Well, the outward flight was delayed an hour due to late arrival from wherever & this might inconvenience some, but as a solo leisure traveller no big deal, just hung around Qantas J lounge a bit longer.
I know Jetstar business class is the equivalent of a full service airlines PE. The J cabin on the 787 is only three rows, quite cozy.
The IFE options were a little limited but service etc. quite good & seats nice & new.
Yes I got a bus from T3 to T2 at Narita to get the train to Tokyo, that took all of 3 minutes (the bus not the train) On the return just walked it, only made it with 30 minutes to spare (my fault should have started out earlier) so didn't miss the use of QFs J lounge at Narita. The 787 seems a good aircraft, although I can't speak for those in the cavernous economy cabin.
I booked in Dec. '14 for Oct. '15 business max & paid just over $2000 including insurance. A few weeks before the flights the last seats were going for over $3000 without insurance, I put that down to supply & demand. Although flights for Oct. next are not available yet, as far ahead as Sep. they're priced at well over $3000. Over a 50% price increase!! I thought the 787 was a less expensive plane to operate!!
