heres a query,2 pax reserved upfront seating on a JQ A321 domestic, reserved row 2 E F,paid $9 each extra for this. Now looking on online seat map the night before flight they find they are moved to row 1 B and C! thats all vey nice,BUT,one pax requires special assistance.
Or is this row 1 NOT 'classed' as exit row,as on the seat map I only see the over wing and just behind wing as exit rows?!
If at check in they are moved,JQ will have to honour original booking and place pax in the first few rows as paid for this upfront seating.(it looks full up though)will they just move 2 pax for them?

My answer is probably too late for you now, but – the last time I was on a JQ A321, both sides of row 1 faced bulkheads, and therefore it was not possible to exit via them. (i.e. This is different to a JQ A320, where the port side of row 1, is not configured with a bulk head.)

Jetstar considers row 1 on all of its aircraft as a superior seat selection, IMO this is simply NOT the case, the bulkheads on A321s and starboard side of A320s make these seats some of the least desirable onboard!

ps,when I last flew an A321 the front left side didnt have that partition there?!!?

shall know soon, let you know how it goes

Last time (hopefully for a long time!) I flew JQ I was in 1A on an A321. Had the bulkhead in front of me (still looked like a lot more space than other rows though!). While not an exit row, still had the special safety demo and required to assist in an emergency (open front exits if no FA or FA incapacitated, block aisle while door being opened), so I'm guessing exit row provisions apply.

yes,I agree JAS,they were given row 3 instead with one seat blocked out for thm also.
I flew the A320 in row 1A,not probs at all there.
What was your prob with JQ?

ps,I flew the A321 in row 25F,no prob there either.
I actually walked up to the front of the craft to visit the toilet and row 1A actually looked more cramped than 25,have a look next time if you fly the A321 again.Although 1 and 25 are more roomy than the normal rows, obviously.
:p
Definetly I would take the A321 in row 25 F or A anyday!! worth $25 I believe.People dont congregate around the area,as they do when youre in row 1.

What was your prob with JQ?
No particular problem for this flight. Just a general disdain for flying with my knees around my ears, sitting in particularly uncomfortable (although not as bad as DJ!) seats for long periods of time, and having co-branded credit cards marketed at me by FA's.

But sometimes you will do what you have to do when they have the flight at the right time for where you need to be.

And this is well offtopic now so I'll stop!

guess im lucky being short, and Ive never had credit cards marketed at me,maybe im lucky?;)
