I notice the last few JQ sales have excluded max bundles. Does JQ ever have discounts, sales or promos on max bundled fares, or am I safe to just go ahead and book?

As far as I'm aware, max bundles are never or very rarely included with sale prices.

This has also been my experience. I recently booked Jetstar J from DPS to SYD and adding the Max Bundle would have actually been more expensive than the cost of the J seat. It was exactly the same story when I looked at this last year.

My main reason for asking is simply whether it's relatively safe to just go ahead and book without much chance of a "deal" next week coming through. I guess the max bundle can always be cancelled if that does happen. BTW, after only a very brief read of the Ts&Cs, I was left unsure if the cancellation fee applies to max bundles as well. Any idea and also, if one cancels a JQ max fare, where does the refund go? Into a credit shell or back to the card?

Haven't seen sale prices on max bundles for a long time now. It's basically a full fare ticket so the price stays static (unless demands for the flight goes through the roof, then they'll add a token amount to those most expensive base fares).
