Accidently came upon the site

Not as cheap as I though they were going to be, plus finished at 9am this morning.

That was yesterday's sale that was matching the one TT came out with yesterday.

I doubt that was anything to do with their Bday, pretty sure it was a "Quick Getaway Sale"???

If you have a look on the webpage, it actually says
Jetstar's 5th Birthday Sale - Cheap flights

The "Sale Fares" button was also listed twice. Seems more like it's being set up for something and shouldn't have been published.

A little birdie says that they're 5c flights to/from Melbourne, 3rd week of May to 3rd week of June.

Lets hope the website doesn't have a hissy fit and crash.

Qantas Club; Qantas Golds you could just buy a one way and not go anywhere, and just have a few drinks on the lounge.

The problem with having a few drinks at the airport is getting there! Parking is NOT cheap!

If the flight were available I'd catch an early flight out of Brisbane, taking the train there. Spend my time in a lounge in Sydney or Adelaide, before coming back and taking the train home.

I dont know of it was posted, but there was a Jetstar 1c Twitter sale nearly the entire day yesterday....and they actually didn't sell them all...

Exclusive sale Jetstar Twitter followers - Cheap Flights

Bugger, Shifty Airline...Me thinks they did not sell many 5c fares. Isn't the idea of these cent fares to try and generate some free publicity???? (ie-make the news/newspapers etc..), cause they defiantly failed there.

It was actually 5pm - 7pm or thereabouts, and I believe they sold their quota.

Note they heavily pushed on Twitter to not onforward.

It was something to appease Twitter fans since they biatched so much about missing out on 5c fares. Really, I am surprised that organisations actually have Twitter representatives, because when I check out the Twitter feeds of organisations, all I ever see is them responding to customer gripes (that are succinctly worded in a few words)

Just after the site crashed last night I saw in an RSS feed that someone had mentioned the 1¢ sale was on. But it was too late by then. Gutted again.

I am surprised that Jetstar gave a rats about what twitter fans said. It seems quite an unJetstar like attitude. Such things have not seemed to be of concern to them in the past.

If they really cared, they'd fix the infrastructure for the sale (and not take down the sites of Jetstar Asia et al while the Australian operation decides to have a sale.)

(Yes - I'm still annoyed I missed out three times casue the server errored toward the end of the process....)

IF they fixed the IT, the 5000 seats would have sold in about 30 secs

Jetstar is a "mickey mouse" airline and their attitude towards customers indicates that statement to be entirely correct. The more they stuff up the more I realise that Jetstar is not the future of the Qantas group because if they were the future there would be no Qantas.

Jetstar is a puny organisation that is only there to compete with the likes of Tiger, Air Asia and Virgin. When they attempt to compete against the established full service airlines they get caught in the draft....

Why don't you say what you really mean JohnK :?:

Does the truth worry some people? No point in sugar coating what is clearly poor customer service (actually Jetstar believes it does not have any customers) and no idea what is going on and they want to be a successful organisation and every time they have a sale the website has a meltdown. Oh please....
