Hi all,
we're looking to fly Jetstar from Cairns to Osaka in December, then transfer same day with Jetstar Japan to Sapporo. The Jetstar Japan flights arent available yet to book a connecting fare, but we're thinking of booking the Cairns-Osaka flight now while they're still cheap. We will then book the Jetstar Japan flight later in the year when they're open.

I'm worried about a delay in the cairns-Osaka flight that will make us miss the Jetstar Japan connection. My questions are 1) will Jetstar re-book the connection if delayed, and 2) will seperate bookings have an impact on this?

Cheers,
dusty

1) No

2) Yes

With an airline like Jetstar, it's always better to make sure you're as protected as possible. I wouldn't personally risk an unprotected connection

Thanks for the info.

So it's just as useless as booking a JQ/QF connection then hey? Got to love low cost carriers...

And you might not even be able to find any English-speaking staff in NRT, if my experience is anything to go by. The only English annoucement that was made was that when I was onboard, the safety demo will only be given in Japanese.
