I have been doing phantom 'bookings' for some time now for PER-SIN-LHR Rtn and on JASA, even 11 months out the points required is around 2.5m. PER-HKG-LHR Rtn on Classic is 556k which I can afford. How do you get onto JASA for similar points to Classic ?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

The new QF web site doesn't seem to provide this sort of detail any more.

Basically try and find Classic award availability and then try and find the exact same flight in Any Seat Award availability.

If there is no Classic award availability then there is certainly no Any Seat Award availability at the Classic level for that particular routing. On the other hand, if there is Classic Award availability then it may also be available as an Any Seat Award at the Classic points level.

The two routings you quote are different - one goes via SIN and the other via HKG. You must compare Classic and Any Seat using the exact same routing.

If you have a subscription to Expert Flyer, I'm not sure whether QF U shows up in inventory queries - been a while since I've used it - serfty?

Looking at Markis10's link and the interface seems quite different. I think anat0l 's point might be what I'm missing, find the Classic first then try to find the same JASA.

Interface is a little difference, engine behind is the same.

If you read all the posts in that thread you'll should sense the general indications to look for [NB] classic availability first - although it not really stated specifically.

(U class still shows on E/F - and indicates NB availability)

Also try breaking into two bookings, often a cheap award seat will be available on each leg but not as a single journey.

Sometimes the booking engine throws up options for a return that remove the cheap return leg, so dont rule out doing one ways either, and from Perth you can always book First ex SIN:

The earn drops the cost to circa 108K for those 240 SC.

Yep. This is how I got my maiden F flight using an ASA...

I flew Economy MEL-SIN-MEL and First SIN-LHR-SIN

I even managed to get an upgrade to Premium on the MEL-SIN leg.
