Hi all

Have a jASA SYD-x BNE-TSV on Friday ret SAt. As luck would have it I could get away a day or two earlier & actually see some of TSV !!

Booked it in the double points offer period in December

U class is available & I'd still meet the by end of January criteria of course. But my question is will the change to the first leg invalidate the DSC offer?

Any experiences or comments as I neeeeed the SCs !!

No, you should be fine. So long as it is a change to the existing booking and your booking reference does not change, you should still qualify for the DSC.

last week I had to change a return from Broome at short notice and still received the double sc's. I am sure you will be fine but double check with the agent too

Per the main thread, I have done a change (admittedly the initial booking was somehow not ticketed), and ended up with a new PNR for booking, but flights were still under old PNR.
Points and SCs didn't post but a quick email and all fixed (inc double)

The initial booking date is what matters, so long as the altered date is still within the T&Cs (ie before 31-Jan)

I'm in the middle of my first TSV visit / DSC run. Will definitely be back here during the depths of the cold southern winter. First thing you want to when you arrive do is get up to the top of Castle Hill. Amazing 360 degree views of the whole of TSV and surrounds. Will give you a great appreciation of the layout and where you're staying and where it all is.

GB Reef Aquarium is also worth a few hours of your time... but if you're only there for a day... maybe do that next time, so you have time for the Turtle Rescue exhibit also. Palmer St has you covered for quality dining and quality accommodation. And you must must must go to Coffee Dominion in the CBD for your caffeine fix... fantastic baristas, service and atmosphere. And a stroll along The Strand should see out your day in TSV. If you have another day to spare... get yourself over here to Magnetic Island. PLENTY to see and do.

Thanks to combo of Jan annual leave and QF's DSC offer... I realised today that I've spent 11 from 19 days in 2014 up here in FNQ with CNS & TSV trips :)

And to answer your original question... Yes you can make changes on the original booking and still get DSC. I changed my Jan 4th cash Flexi Saver from CNS-xSYD-MEL to CNS-xBNE-MEL (for a $60 fare difference) and still got the DSC. :)

Thanks all. Changed my flight this morning. No problem or charge, the whole J cabin was open on both legs. 2 full days in TSV now, is it still a status run :)

Thanks for the tips timjohns. Appreciate it. Love my coffee too so will check out that cafe for sure.

I think it has changed from a status run to a holiday. Never mind. ;)
