We want to fly from Tokyo to Montreal next June and accrue QFF credits. JAL seem to only fly to Vancouver.
Can someone please suggest a work around for us. TIA

HND-DFW-YUL....JAL to DFW then AA to YUL

Yep, this. Or go via Chicago.

If you don't want to transit via USA, you could fly JAL to YVR and then WestJet to YUL. You'll get QFF points but not status credits for the WestJet flight.

And there is no Canadian Oneworld carrier. Looks like you'd have to fly to a US city (DFW/JFK/LGA/ORD) then go on to YUL on AA. OR... with Westjet being some kind of Oneworld partner perhaps you can earn on their flights ..... Edit- NOPE... No status credits. only points.

Lol..I was too slow!

BA HND-LHR-YUL in theory works. Not sure how price competitive.
