At this point, with VA not flying internationally, VAd is not in the equation, for the trip to Europe.
You might be lucky to get some J seats on SQ from Aust - SIN, but that is a short flight, so maybe go Y for the trip up from Aust - SIN.
Can't transfer VA points to KF as of now, it might go ahead in the soon future, or might not, we have to wait and see.
If you can defer your plans to Dec 2022, we might know more of the VA and SQ plans by then, Dec 2022 Christmas is a long one (weekend), there will maybe be less demand by then, and its better to plan for 12 months going forward.
2023 might be better, not so much for December, but by then, airfares might go back to pre covid.
MEL - HND is about $6xx_ in J for some months in 2022, if you were to pay.
Cheaper as above mentioned, if you have time, to get something up to SIN, premY/pure Y/discY as its not that long a flight, and then get J from up there.
Forget about VAd in the SQ equation, ((unless you need to fly from a regional city, if you live in one, to a capital city)) that SQ flies from, consider that VA and SQ separate, as of now, till we get more info.
Edit:
If you want to try utilising VA points on SQ as a redemption on a partner airline, ...
**do you mean you have 600 something or 60,000 or 600,000 VFF point?**
You can't transfer VFF to SQ, but you might be able to get seats on SQ using VFF points, if the seats are available, probably have to phone VFF up.
