Is John Borghetti doing a good job?

Borhgetti isn't bringing out a new 2-3 year plan every 12 months. That's a better job straight away. He's made a plan and he's following through.

So you find the transfer between BNE terminals so much smoother than Syd, that you would prefer to be on a 737 than a 787 ? Give me the syd transfer and a 787 any day. Also I note you failed to mention the easy transfer at melbourne option, which would be far quicker/easier than bne. When someone wants to dislike something, they will pick out the bad bits and disregard the good wont they

When flying in on JQ and departing on JQ the transfer is via public transport. I'd rate that as the same as the Brisbane transfer options.

This is all a little OT as far as John Borghetti is concerned, but re-read my post #27 where I was responding to Must...Fly!'s comments. Note the start of that post that you selectively left out. Must...Fly was making comments about VA's international losses maybe having something to do with the JQ 787 competing against VAi (from a Perth point of view - which is fine). I was essentially agreeing with him but on the basis that "so it really depends on where you live", so I provided my example about TSV and how to get from there to either HKT or DPS. In this case the options are essentially JQ and VA.

So yes - the B787 may be a great aircraft - its a little difficult to reach for some of us. I agree - if you live in SYD or MEL then its proabably a direct and competative price. You don't have to take my word for it - just go onto the QF and VA website and see how you go from TSV.

Agree that the Dom/Interntl transfer sucks a bit at SYD & BNE, and agree that MEL may be way more convenient if you live in SE Australia, but to backtrack from TSV-MEL and then MEL-HKT/DPS is a pretty big diversion in the wrong direction and all of it on a LCC airline. I did a couple of checks in random June dates and the JQ options via MEL/SYD are 20% more expensive and take far longer than a VA B737 narrowbody via BNE. Of course for TSV people the obvious choice in speed would be to fly Air North direct to DRW and then connect to another airline to DPS, I think that HKT is a bit more difficult on any airline.

Anyway - what was the question again? :D
