So I am relocating to London early next year and will likely be flying BA going forward.

I am currently 400 SC short of WP and could book a SYD-BNE-TSV J return ASA to get the required points. (DSC promotion)

Question is would it be worth it?
I assume if flying on BA on a BA executive club number without status that my Qantas WP status will still get me lounge access?

Is the relocation permanent?

If not why not continue with QF?

Heck for WP, even once in your life do it. The F lounge pre-departure would be worth it.

Yes it will be hence changing programs.

I dont have any other flights planned until I head back on QF9 in February. ( FASA ticket so will have the lounge anyway )
But it would be great to have it for any BA flights in the next year assuming there is a greater benefit versus Gold when flying BA out of London.

Ba galleries first is better than regular, but not ridiculously so.

Other advantage is it gives you 2+ yrs with qf lounge access status thanks to soft landing

I like the Johnnie Walker Blue and the food is quite good too. Also, being able to use First Class check-in is a real advantage at LHR. Being able to select exit row seats on European flights is another plus.

I think a run to Townville would be very good value for you if you will be travelling around Europe from LHR.

Seems I might do the run then.

How would it work though? Would I have to book my BA flights with my QF number. ( Assign seats and such )
Then change it to the BA executive club number to earn with BA?

I've been SG for a few years, had a DS offer 2nd Q 2013, my good woman said go for it, did the run and boy oh boy did we enjoy the excellent Qantas 1st lounge in SYD, HKG and tried the CX too it was awesome, planning to use them quite a few times during next year, plus the many other benefits too, weight, check in, double FF points, I say go do it.

How many points for SYD-BNE-TSV and SCs for DSC promo?

Yes, Exactly that. Change it to BA EC at check-in. You'll need your Qantas card to get in the lounge.

200 or 400 return.
