I guess with the loss of capacity to FRA, have others found it now harder to get JASA/FASA's (For reasonable points) to Europe (Well I guess Europe now only means LHR).

Has there been any word when FRA will end?

It has been difficult using QF for international long hauls for quite a while using points especially for reasonable JASAs or better.
i moved into SQ kris miles and a Velocity scheme as a back up and have had zero issues for redemptions but sometimes it has to be Classic redemptions to use any QF points internationally.
It does not really matter much as we make Qantas Platinum with domestic JASAs and with Kris miles on SQ the redemptions are there most of the time for business, first and suites seeing there has been a downturn in higher travel classes.

You can still get J/FASA's codeshares with other airlines but they are usually 3 times or more the price of the cheapest QF J/FASA'S, especially now that QF is pulling out of FRA.

Cove I wish I could split points across programs like you can, but unfortunately most of us don't have large ATO bills that need paying off each month! ;)

Whatmeworry I may not be that lucky. I pay multiple company taxes, personal taxes, payroll taxes, land taxes, BAS taxes and you would like to copy that?? I think that would make you a devil for punishment!
I have some lovely trips booked and that is it. The money goes to some of the least deserving places I can think of so just try putting a vacuum in your pocket to see how that goes.
Gee my post looks like a whinge.
Sometimes it can be cheaper to grab a First class ticket on Classic points. This month we are coming out of LHR on British Airlines in First class because it was available.
