Is 1 SQ miles = 1.25 QFF point?

It really does depend on what you want to use them on. 1:1 is appropriate for using to west coast of US, otherwise SQ are definitely more than QF miles. As mentioned above fuel fines on both carriers are similar. But some comparison rates:
In business (one way):
MEL - SE Asia 60K (QF) 46.75 (SQ) ... ratio: 1.28
MEL- Europe main 128K (QF) 80.75 (SQ) ... ratio: 1.58
MEL- Europe other 128K (QF) 68 (SQ) ... ratio 1.88
MEL- US west 96K (QF) 97.5 (SQ) ... ratio 0.98
MEL - US east 128K (QF) 97.5 (SQ) ... ratio 1.31

I only think Biz or First when using FF pts so
I would say 1 KF + 1.5 QFF as a typical syd LHR one way is 128k on qantas and 81k on sing air though once you go to F its 192K to 112k .
but I would prefer to have SQ miles as there always seem to be more SQ flts than qantas.

I presume its because we in Australia have been tuned to QFF since 1992.
