I use Viber for Iphone to Iphone free calls using WiFi.

This week , I received a call from a friend in Hong Kong using the hotel wifi connection.
The call was clear and best of all free.

Anyone else using Viber?

Yes,

Working well from free wifi in USA to Australia with free SMS and calls with (so far) decent quality. Avoiding roaming charges.... Happy with it indeed.

Another program I have is Pingchat, text messages without the charges.

So many good programs for the Iphone, as long as you own one that is.

Yeah Viber is great.
Another really good app is Beluga - grouping messages and pix - Like Path but better - Beluga is still pretty new so network is limited but really nice.
Instead of PING! I use Textie or if I am ridiculously drunk I use What'sAp but that seems to be having some problems at the moment. I love whatsapp because I just send my location and say lift? and a friend appears magically!

I'm lovin' HeyTell - especially if you use it like a walkie-talkie and include the relevant lingo, like "Over" and "Roger" and the occasional "10-4" (with or without "big buddy")

I use WhatsApp too these days, but some friends still use Ping!

I rarely call people :p

Likewise I also use WhatsApp as well as Skype and Fring with a SIP provider.

Lots of good Apps for 'free' calls.
